Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 2, 2026

Overview

HackerAI Chat ("this site") is a stateless front-end for talking to AI models through the HackerAI API using your own API key. Privacy here is not a policy we apply — it is how the product is built: there are no accounts, and nothing you type is stored by this site.

What we do not collect

  • We do not create accounts or ask for your identity.
  • We do not store your API key. It lives only in your browser tab's memory and disappears when you close or refresh the tab.
  • We do not store your conversations. Messages exist only in your browser's memory while the tab is open.
  • We do not use advertising cookies, analytics profiles, or browser storage (localStorage / sessionStorage / cookies) for any part of the product.

How your messages travel

When you send a message, your browser sends it — together with your API key — to this site's server, which forwards the request to the HackerAI API (api.hackerai.sh) and streams the model's reply back to you. Requests are validated and rate-limited for abuse protection, and are not persisted or logged with their contents.

Standard, short-lived technical logs (such as IP-based rate-limit counters and error records) may exist at the server and hosting layer for security and abuse prevention. They do not contain your conversations.

Third-party processing

Your prompts, the model's responses, and your quota data are processed by HackerAI under HackerAI's own terms and privacy practices. This site cannot see or control what HackerAI does with that data — review the terms at hackerai.sh before using a key.

Model outputs

Model responses are generated by third-party AI systems. They may be inaccurate or inappropriate. Do not share sensitive personal information in chats — treat anything you send as data processed by a third party.

Changes

This policy may be updated as the product evolves. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version.
